Experience, exp or XP points are gained by questing, attacking bosses, or partaking in PvP combat. The XP gained can be enhanced by wearing gear such as Royalty Ring of The Beginner. Once you reach the XP points required, you will gain a level. A few rules must be noted about XP and are listed below.

- You do not gain XP from boss attacks if you end up with less than 10% of your health after hitting the boss.
- You do not get XP bonuses if they amount to less than 1 point.
- You do not get XP from monsters and quests that are Too Easy.
- You get 2x XP from attacks on your team members' bosses.
- You get 1.5x XP from attacks on your guild members' bosses.
